About K.J. Somaiya College of Engineering(KJSCE), Mumbai:-

K. J. Somaiya faculty of Engineering (KJSCE), Bombay was established in 1983 .KJSCE is attached to the University of Bombay and approved by All Republic of India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi. it had been the primary engineering faculty in geographic area to urge certification by the National Board of certification (New Delhi) in 1997.
The mission of the faculty is to be leading establishment of learning within the field of engineering sciences with AN activity engendered pedantic atmosphere, encouraging diversity of thought ANd expression ANd to produce an sanctioning surroundings for attaining excellence through an on-going dialogue with trade and benchmarking itself with the simplest amongst peer establishments.

KJSCE Principal Message:-

Knowledge is the driving force in this rapidly changing globalised economy. It has underlined a need for reforming and improving overall effectiveness of engineering education. The biggest challenge for the educators of today is to maintain quality of education to match the demands of globalization, train professionals so that they can adapt themselves as per market expectations and survive the cut throat competition.
I am happy to state that the emphasis at the K J Somaiya College of Engineering has been on imparting value based quality education to the students such that they not only acquire necessary knowledge and skill set but also develop ability for lifelong learning.  All efforts are pooled in encouraging creativity & intellectual competence, developing leadership qualities & interpersonal skills.
Interaction with the professional world is brought about through student chapters of professional societies such as IEEE, IETE, SAE, CSI, etc. Activities in the Renewable Energy Club, E-cell, etc. keep them updated with the current scenario. Students are encouraged to implement theory into practice through interdisciplinary activities such as Orion Car Racing, Red Shift Racing, Team Robocon, Onyx Aero Modeling team, etc. This hands-on experience not only prepares them for a research & developmental temperament but also hones their managerial skills.

Admission Details of KJSCE Mumbai:-

For First Year Engineering (F.E.)
Admission to all degree courses (UG) is based on HSC/std. 12 or equivalent examination, with list of subjects and minimum % marks as specified by DTE and MT-CET examination OR JEE(Main) examination.
Admissions under the category of NRI/Gulf Worker/PIO/Foreign Nationals need not qualify MT-CET OR JEE(Main) examination.
Admission process for First Year Engineering starts after the declaration of HSC/std. 12 and MT-CET results, whichever is declared later, and after obtaining marks sheet/score card. Last date of admission and commencement date of FE term is declared by DTE.
Direct Second year Engineering (S.E.)
Admission to different degree courses (UG) is based on passing Diploma in that group.
Admission process to Direct Second Year of Engineering starts after declaration of results of Diploma examination conducted by DTE.  The results of some autonomous Institutes may be declared earlier, but we have to wait till the declaration of results of the majority of the students. Last date of admission is declared by DTE. Term of SE (Semester III) starts before commencement of admission process;  the date of starting of the term is declared by the University.
