The college is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi, Affiliated to Visveswaraiah Technological University, Karnataka. Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Technology (RGIT), Bangalore was established in 2001. The college has been established by Sir. M. Visvesvaraya Education Trust, with an object of promoting research oriented and advanced courses in the field of engineering.
The college has a team of dedicated and experienced faculty with research bent of mind has been driving the institution towards excellence in teaching as well as placement and training activities. The last half of the century has transformed our environment, perhaps radically, and brought more changes in our lives and thinking than in any corresponding period in history. These are the consequences of discoveries of sciences and applications of technology. The concept of absolute knowledge in the sense of storing all knowledge is perhaps no more relevant today. Our efforts for reconciling the traditional concepts and ways with the demands of technological age cannot provide simple solutions for our difficulties and complexities based on such stored knowledge.

Admission Details of RGIT, Bangalore:-

Eligibility for Admission
The candidate seeking admission to the 1st year BE Degree Course should have passed the 2nd PUC / 10+2 higher secondary education or equivalent qualifying examination with a minimum aggregate of 45% marks in the optional subjects as Physics and Mathematics with Chemistry or Biology or Biotechnology, or Computer Science.
In case of SC, ST& OBC the minimum aggregate marks in the above said optional subjects shall not be less than 40% in the qualifying examination..
Admission Procedure
The students seeking admission to the first year BE Degree course in Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Technology, Bangalore shall appear in the Competitive entrance test conducted by the concerned authorities as per the approval of the college from time to time. The entrance test is presently conducted by COMEDK for All India students and KEA (CET Cell) for Karnataka students. The selection and counseling for admission will be made as per merit list published by the concerned authorities. The selected candidates shall pay the fees as fixed by the college.
The students seeking admission under the management and NRI category can apply directly to the college with the application forms available free of cost from the college website and the admission will be considered on merit as per the marks obtained by the candidate in the aggregate of optional subjects of the qualifying examination.

• Undergraduate Courses(4 Years): - 125000/- (per Annum)
• Post Graduate Courses:  ----           125000/- (per Annum)

SCHOLARSHIP SCHEME
The college management, based on the high percentage of marks in the qualifying examination, good academic standard, poor economic conditions of the family, and such other deserving criteria as it deems fit, may offer SCHOLARSHIP by granting fee concession to the eligible candidates who shall apply to the college in the prescribed application form along with supporting documents / proof. Based on the evaluation of the application and recommendation by the board of members, scholarship will be granted /rejected to the candidate as the case may be.
The sanction or rejection of the scholarship shall be at the discretion of the college management, considering the merit on the application, submitted by the candidate.
