Gogte Institute of Technology, Belgaum the flagship institute of Karnatak Law Society was incepted in 1979. Spread across a sprawling mango meadow of over 20 Acres.GIT, houses 08 under graduate and 09 post graduate disciplines including MBA and MCA programs.GIT has the honour of sheltering over 3000 students and about 200 highly qualified and motivated work force.GIT, an affiliate of Visvesvaraya Technological University, also carries the distinction of getting NBA Accreditation by AICTE for the second time in succession. A degree from the accredited programme has global acceptability and assurance about the quality of education.GIT also has a vibrant Industry Institute Interaction Cell, and a full fledged Training and Placement Cell. Regular, mock interviews, training programs, group discussion with special emphasis on soft skills is provided to the students. Our alumni are found in several blue chip organizations in India and abroad. Students picked, polished and placed by us are accepted hand in hand by leading organizations.All the departments have well equipped laboratories with facilities for experiments and studies in areas like Flexible Manufacturing Systems, Biomass Gasification, Fluidized Bed Combustion Chamber, Material testing, Digital Signal Processing, High Voltage Engineering, VLSI and Advanced surveying Instruments like Total Station. About GIT M.E/M.Tech Course :-

Master of Engineering or Master of Technology or Master of Science in Technology or Master of Engineering degree is a postgraduate program in engineering or technology field.ME/MTech degree program exposes students to a wide range of courses, combined with specialized research which culminates in a thesis. Such a combination gives students the breadth and depth necessary for pursuing careers in academics as well as industry.The residence requirements for ME/MTech program is four semesters. However, it is possible to get permission to spend one semester elsewhere. If someone wants to carry out the thesis work in a company, or at some other educational institution, it is allowed by the Institute.The scope of the course varies from material research to machinery development, Nano Technology, Smart materials, Aerospace Technology, Missiles technology, CAD/CAM, FMS, CIM, Automation and such other interrelated developments.
