About JNTUH College of Engineering, Hyderabad:-

The College was established as Nagarjuna Sagar Engineering College in 1965 by the Government of Andhra Pradesh. When the college was under the administrative control of the Department of Technical Education, it was affiliated to Osmania University, Hyderabad. With the formation of Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University on 2nd October 1972, it became a constituent college of the University and was later renamed as JNTU College of Engineering, Hyderabad. From its inception in 1965 to 1984, the College was located at Masab Tank Campus. In 1984, the College was shifted to its permanent location at Kukatpally, a 100 acres site, about 20 km from the heart of the City, on Bombay National Highway (NH-9).
The activities of the college are basically supported by the budgetary allocation from the University funds. Specific grants from different funding agencies like UGC, MHRD, AICTE, DST are also sought from time to time for the development of the college. The College has purchased modern and sophisticated equipment worth about 20 crores from the research and development grants received from MHRD, AICTE, DST and TEQIP (A World Bank-aided Project). The college celebrated its Silver Jubilee in 1990.
The college presently has 4 hostel blocks namely Godavari Hostel and Krishna Hostel (for boys) and Saraswati Hostel & Kamala Nehru (for Girls). The college provides hostel facilities for about 820 boys and 575 girls. A new PG Hostel for Boys is ready for occupation. Other facilities in the campus include a bank, Post office, Hospital, Canteen, play fields along with a pavilion etc. The college has NCC (National Cadet Corps) and NSS (National Service Scheme) units. Almost 100% of our college students are getting employment through campus placements.

Dr. A.Vinay Babu, Professor in CSE and Principal of JNTUH College of Engineering, JNTUniversity Hyderabad. His work of experience 27 years in Teaching, Research and Administrative as an eminent educationist. He secured “Best State Teacher Awardâ€ÂÂ?, State Govt. of Andhra Pradesh in 2011,“Best Computer Science Teacher Awardâ€ÂÂ? by ISTE, AP Chapter in Nov 2009, “Eminent Educationistâ€ÂÂ?, awarded by National & Inter compendium, New Delhi, India April 2009,“Eminent Citizen of Indiaâ€ÂÂ?, awarded by National & International Compendiumâ€ÂÂ? New Delhi, India March 2008, “Distinguished Academicianâ€ÂÂ? awarded by “Pentagram Research centre Private Limitedâ€ÂÂ? Hyderabad, India on Jan 2008 and “Jewel of India 08â€ÂÂ? awarded by Indian solidarity council, New Delhi, India. He guided 9 PhDs and many more PhD Scholars are working under his Guidance.He had held number of administrative positions in the University including that of Director Admissions, SCDE, and HOD of CSE etc.
He has published more than 82 Research publications to his credit so far in his specialization such as algorithms, data mining, parallel algorithms, networks and related areas. Prof Vinay conducted several short term programs and also attended, by that he got exposure and relation with eminent people. He introduced new Programs/courses and Established MODROBS (AICTE) in dept of CSE.    

About JNTUHCE M.E/M.Tech Course:-

Master of Engineering or Master of Technology or Master of Science in Technology or Master of Engineering degree is a postgraduate program in engineering or technology field. ME/MTech degree program exposes students to a wide range of courses, combined with specialized research which culminates in a thesis. Such a combination gives students the breadth and depth necessary for pursuing careers in academics as well as industry.The residence requirements for ME/MTech program is four semesters. However, it is possible to get permission to spend one semester elsewhere. If someone wants to carry out the thesis work in a company, or at some other educational institution, it is allowed by the Institute.The scope of the course varies from material research to machinery development, Nano Technology, Smart materials, Aerospace Technology, Missiles technology, CAD/CAM, FMS, CIM, Automation and such other interrelated developments.
