Jyothishmathi Institute of Technology and Sciences, Karimnagar was established in 1997.It was established as a self-financing Engineering College by Shalini Vidya Samstha,Karimnagar under the able Chairmanship of Sri.J. Sagar Rao Garu.It is affiliated to Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad and approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi.This college has made rapid progress and has developed into one of the very large and foremost engineering colleges in Andhra Pradesh State.The large numbers of our students have been able to secure admissions in M.S. programmes abroad and M.Tech. Programmes in reputed institutes in India.The majority of our out-going students have already secured campus placement, Campus Connect (Infosys) jobs. Our college is selected as one of the Jawaharlal Knowledge Centres(JKCs) in the A.P. state, by the Institute of Electronic Governance, Govt. of Andhra Pradesh, since the inception of this programme and has been accorded with JKC STAR institution status.The college has well-equipped Laboratories and the Library as per the A.I.C.T.E. and J.N.T.U. standards. All the departments have full complement of well-qualified and experienced faculty members. The large numbers of the students have been able to secure admissions in M.S programmes abroad and M.Tech.JITS Principal Message :-

Master of Engineering or Master of Technology or Master of Science in Technology or Master of Engineering degree is a postgraduate program in engineering or technology field.ME/MTech degree program exposes students to a wide range of courses, combined with specialized research which culminates in a thesis. Such a combination gives students the breadth and depth necessary for pursuing careers in academics as well as industry.The residence requirements for ME/MTech program is four semesters. However, it is possible to get permission to spend one semester elsewhere.
