Kakatiya Institute of Technology and Science is affiliated to the Kakatiya University, Warangal.The institute, over the years has substantially grown in academic programmes, infrastructural facilities and attracted academicians of proven competence onto its faculty. It gained amongst academic circles as one of the premier technical institutes in this region and the academic departments are accreditated by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA), New Delhi. Consequent the University Grants Commission included the Institute in the list of colleges approved under section 2(f) of the UGC Act 1956 and declared that the Institute is fit to receive Central assistance under section 12(b) of the UGC Act 1956.
