Muzaffarpur Institute of Technology, Muzaffarpur established in 1954, MIT is one of the oldest technical institutes in India. It is a premier institution of eastern India for technical education. It is under administrative control of department of science and technology and wholly funded by Govt. of Bihar. It is affiliated to Aryabhatta Knowledge University, Patna and offers undergraduate programs in engineering and pharmacy with postgraduate specialization in Machine design and thermal engineering.M.I.T. came into existence on 25th September 1954, just seven years after independence of India. It was inaugurated by Sri C.P.N. Sinha, then governor of East Punjab. Initially it was started with Civil Engineering descipline with a batch of 45 students as 1954-55 batch with the name 'College of Civil Engineering, Muzaffarpur'. The institute also caters to the research and development activities of the state of Bihar. The aim of the institute is to promote leadership and professionalism among the students and faculty by providing right ambience and to encourage the innovation and research by undertaking project and developmental activities with industries, institutions and government.

Since from its establishment in 1954; MIT, Muzaffarpur has been acknowledges as a major center of technical education in several branches of engineering and technology. MIT offers high quality education and hostel facilities, excellent laboratories, computer and internet access, a library occupied with a large number of books & journals, sports club along with a gym and audio-visual hall for performing extracurricular activities.Way back in 1954, MIT was first established with only one branch i.e. civil engineering; other branches were added later on. Now, we have about 900 students studying at our campus in seven different branches. MIT is a lively institution, with its dedicated & qualified teachers and staffs. The students work on various internal/external, departmental/ Interdepartmental projects. They undergo a 60 days vocational training in various leading industries as a part of their curriculum. They also present technical seminars on recent advancements in various fields. MITians have shown their excellent working and managerial skills in various government and private sectors of India and abroad. About MIT MBBS Course :-

The MBBS course starts with the basic pre-clinical subjects such as biochemistry, physiology, anatomy, microbiology, pathology and pharmacology.The degree awarded is("Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery"). The minimum requirements for the MBBS course are 50% marks in physics, chemistry, biology and English in the '10+2' examinations.This course concentrates at detailed knowledge of all the aspects of medicine and surgery. The course curriculum includes practical as well as theoretical knowledge of the subject. Objective of the course is to create qualified professionals in the field of medicine and surgery.MBBS program duration 4.5 years with one year compulsary rotating Internship.

About MIT  B.Pharma Course :-

The B.Pharm course is of four years duration. Students completing this degree course are eligible to register as pharmacist and practise the profession throughout India as per the rules and regulations of Pharmacy Council of India.

About MIT M.E/M.Tech Course :-

Master of Engineering or Master of Technology or Master of Science in Technology or Master of Engineering degree is a postgraduate program in engineering or technology field.ME/MTech degree program exposes students to a wide range of courses, combined with specialized research which culminates in a thesis. Such a combination gives students the breadth and depth necessary for pursuing careers in academics as well as industry.The residence requirements for ME/MTech program is four semesters. However, it is possible to get permission to spend one semester elsewhere. If someone wants to carry out the thesis work in a company, or at some other educational institution, it is allowed by the Institute.The scope of the course varies from material research to machinery development, Nano Technology, Smart materials, Aerospace Technology, Missiles technology, CAD/CAM, FMS, CIM, Automation and such other interrelated developments.
