About RMD Sinhgad Technical Institutes Campus(RMDSSOE), Pune:-

RMD Sinhgad Technical Institutes Campus Warje, Pune was established in 2011-2012 under the umbrella of Sinhgad Institutes. The Institute is recognized by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi, Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Mumbai, and is affiliated to University of Pune, Maharashtra State, India. The campus offers programmes in Engineering, Management Studies and Computer Studies through the following schools.
RMD Sinhgad Technical Institutes Campus Warje was established in 2011 beneath the umbrella of Sinhgad Institutes. The institute is recognized by AICTE and board of directors of Technical Education, Bombay and is attached to college of Pune, geographic area State, India. The field offers programs in engineering, management studies and pc studies.The institute endeavor to mould themselves and to attain bigger heights and widen the horizons of science and technology within the service of the community.
The campus is located in the Pune city which is the eight largest metropolis in India and one of the historical cities of India with a glorious past, an innovative present and a promising future. Pune is also known as Oxford of the East as well as 'Educational Capital' of the State of Maharashtra. Pune is also a well a known a Hub of Auto-sector and IT sector industries. Pune also boasts as the "Detroit of India". It was the capital of Maratha dynasty. The campus is well connected by Air, Rail and Bus. It is a lush green campus with good hostels for boys & girls, messes, canteens, sports ground, cultural centre etc. Sinhgad Technical Education Society has many varied institutes under its aegis. These are spread widely all over Maharashtra i.e in cities like Pandharpur, Lonavala, Pune, Mumbai, Solapur. These institutes have a proud heritage of educational excellence in the fields of Engineering, Medical science, Computer Applications , Business Management and other disciplines at the undergraduate and post-graduate level. RMDSSOE Principal Message:-

Engineering Education has undergone many conceptual changes and since its establishment it is a discipline of serious study. After the industrial revolution, Engineering education is considered a discipline of serious study, innovation and research. In the "Nineteenth" century, the emphasis was on innovation and personal ingenuity. The education and training in this period were mainly "HOW" dominated, and the efficacy of education training depended largely on the personal skill of the trainers in operating, manipulating and developing new machines and gadgets.
The "Twentieth" century brought in an attitude of scientific analysis, it involved engineering systems. Education became more "WHY" dominated a more science based. Knowledge of "Know-why" is better than merely knowledge of "Know-how" which became a catchword. Innovations are important, but problem solving became more and more science driven. The "Twenty-first" century is threatening to be dominated by Information Processing and Management Practices. Education and training will not focus on "WHY" but "WHY NOT" and "HOW BEST".
This century, I feel will visualize the infusion of technology into engineering. Today, technology is synonymous with a tinkering culture, Every individual has basic technical skills and can take care of simple things like replacing a fuse, fixing a leaking tap, changing a car tyre, repairing a bicycle, changing the pressure cooker gasket etc. Research and Development can emerge only out of competitive tinkering. Innovations also come in shapes and sizes. It is the application that results in innovation. While mentioning the future, it would be unwise to neglect the present.

Mention the Admission test taken with Name and address of the Test Agency and URL of their website. MHT – CET -2012 conducted by Directorate of Technical Education, Maharashtra State. www.dte.org.in
Percentage of seats allotted to the candidates as per the Test taken [AIEEE/CET (State conducted test /University tests)/Association conducted test] are as follows: 65% MHT-CET, 15% All India basis and 20% at Institute Level.
Calendar for admission against management / vacant seats As prescribed by the Directorate of Technical Education, Maharashtra State from time to time. Date of acceptance of the candidate: about 7 days. Last date for closing of admission: As prescribed by the Competent Authority from time to time. Starting of the Academic session: As per the directives of the DTE, Mumbai, M.S. The policy for refund of the fee, in case of withdrawal, should be clearly notified: As prescribed by the Directorate of Technical Education, Maharashtra State.
CRITERIA AND WEIGHTAGES FOR ADMISSION Describe each criteria with its respective weight ages i.e. Admission Test, Marks in qualifying examination etc. PCM Marks 45% and valid score of MHT-CET/AIEEE
Mention the minimum level of acceptance, if any. Minimum level of marks accepted is 40% in PCM for Backward class category from the State of Maharashtra.
