Their vision is to developing into a multidisciplinary, multi campus technological institution of excellence in this part of the globe, providing the right ambience and environment to create engineers and technocrats who serve the needs and demands of society.Sree Sastha Institute of Engineering and Technology was established in the year 1999 with B.E,B.TECH & M.E courses under the aegis of A.M.Kanniappa Mudaliar and A.M.K Jambulinga Mudaliar Educational Trust with the objective of imparting quality education to students with all facilities and infrastructure.Housed in spacious, separate blocks with excellent laboratory and library facilities along with well qualified faculty, the institute is poised for a great leap to bring about excellence in pertinent education.The management of SSIET has taken on the mission to provide the necessary infrastructure to support an institute of excellence, foster and grow an academic team to cater to the ever increasing demands of the student community, motivate the students, the faculty and the stakeholders to utilize the facilities provided, augment all available avenues to develop students for the changing needs of the society and finally to develop SSIET into international institute of excellence.

About SSIET M.E/M.Tech Course :-

Master of Engineering or Master of Technology or Master of Science in Technology or Master of Engineering degree is a postgraduate program in engineering or technology field.This is generally a 2-years for  specialization program in a specific branch of engineering or a technical field.ME/MTech degree program exposes students to a wide range of courses, combined with specialized research which culminates in a thesis. Such a combination gives students the breadth and depth necessary for pursuing careers in academics as well as industry.The residence requirements for ME/MTech program is four semesters. However, it is possible to get permission to spend one semester elsewhere. If someone wants to carry out the thesis work in a company, or at some other educational institution, it is allowed by the Institute.The scope of the course varies from material research to machinery development, Nano Technology, Smart materials, Aerospace Technology, Missiles technology, CAD/CAM, FMS, CIM, Automation and such other interrelated developments.
