Jayawantrao Sawant College of Engineering, Pune is approved by the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi and Govt. Of Maharashtra affiliated to Pune University.It was established by JSPM on the second campus at Hadapsar.Jayawant Shikshan Prasarak Mandal (JSPM) was established in 1998  with the objective of creating centers of excellence for education in the field of Engineering, Medical, Pharmacy, Management,computers etc.This is by the vision of Prof. T.J.Sawant, an Electrical Engineer who thinks that, "Development of Techno - entrepreneurial society" is the key to achieve VISION 2020 as perceived by our Former PRESIDENT of India Dr Abdul Kalam.Prof. Sawant is strongly convinced that establishment of excellent technical institutions is the solution to the problem of development of techno-economic society. Driven by a mission of providing an excellent quality education JSPM’s society has left no stone unturned in setting up Educational Institutes in Pune.From the modest beginning in 2001, JSPM, Pune has now grown into a fully integrated global educational hub. The Objectives of imparting education, combined  with creation , dissemination and application of Knowledge are being met in an integrated form to create a synergetic impact at Five campuses of JSPM.

About JSCE M.E/M.Tech Course :-

Master of Engineering or Master of Technology or Master of Science in Technology or Master of Engineering degree is a postgraduate program in engineering or technology field.ME/MTech degree program exposes students to a wide range of courses, combined with specialized research which culminates in a thesis. Such a combination gives students the breadth and depth necessary for pursuing careers in academics as well as industry.The residence requirements for ME/MTech program is four semesters. However, it is possible to get permission to spend one semester elsewhere. If someone wants to carry out the thesis work in a company, or at some other educational institution, it is allowed by the Institute.The scope of the course varies from material research to machinery development, Nano Technology, Smart materials, Aerospace Technology, Missiles technology, CAD/CAM, FMS, CIM, Automation and such other interrelated developments.
