CENTAC 2015 Admissions – Complete Information

Admissions in engineering undergrad courses in the union territory of Puducherry will be held thru CENTAC 2015 Admissions. Candidates can apply for admission in B.Tech and B.E. courses on the basis of either JEE Main 2015 or Class XII marks. There is a reservation of 15% for the candidates applying from former channel while 85% of the admissions shall be made thru scores of Class XII. CENTAC 2015 Selection Mode


Candidates will be selected on the basis of scores in class XII or JEE Main 2015. The candidates then will be screened thru a cutoff score and included in the merit list. These selected candidates will get the chance to mark options of colleges and courses.

CENTAC 2015 Eligibility Criteria


Candidates must read the eligibility criteria before applying. It is a set of terms and conditions set in aspects of age, education and domicile. A candidate must make sure he meets these terms else his application would be rejected.
  • Candidate must be an Indian national.
  • He must not be older than 21 years as on 1 July 2015.
  • However, French Nationals covered by the Treaty of Cession are also eligible for admissions.
  • He must have passed class XII or any other equivalent exam.
  • It is necessary to score a minimum aggregate of 45% marks in class XII or other qualifying exam.
  • Percentile is relaxed by 40% for OBC/BCM/MBC/EBC/BT/SC/ST candidates.
  • Candidate must have studied Mathematics and Physics as compulsory subjects.
  • Any one of Chemistry / Bio-Technology, Computer Science / Biology (Botany and Zoology) must have been studied as optional subject.
  • Candidates from other states must have qualified JEE Main 2015 and apply thru the same.

CENTAC 2015 Application Form

  • Enter all the details correctly and verify before final submission.
  • Download the printout of the filled application form and send it to the CENTAC office along with the specified documents and certificates.

Application Fees

Candidates have to pay application fees of Rs.500 for General category and Rs.250 for SC, ST category. It can be paid thru demand draft in favor of Convenor, CENTAC payable at Pondicherry.

CENTAC 2015 Counselling and Seat Allotment

  • Candidates have to attend the counselling in person.
  • They shall be called for counselling in the order of the merit.
  • They must get their documents verified before the seat allotment round.
  • Bring original documents and certificates to the venue.
  • Allotment shall be made on the basis of merit, category, options filled and seat vacancy.
  • Check allotment result on the official website of the CENTAC.

Counselling Fee

  • It is necessary to pay the counselling fee of Rs.850 for general category.
  • Fee is Rs.350 for SC, ST category.
  • Once the seat is selected, fee will be deposited and forfeited.
  • You have to pay Rs.750 for general category and Rs.300 for SC, ST category in the further counselling rounds.
