WBJEE Eligibility Criteria 2015 | WBJEE Exam Dates 2015

West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board invites application from India Citizens for admission to undergraduate level courses of Medical, Dental, Engineering & Technology, Pharmacy and Architecture in different University/Colleges in West Bengal for the academic session 2015-16

WBJEE Eligibility Criteria 2015

Applicant must be a citizen of India

Age Restriction

Engineering/Technology (other than Marine Engineering), Pharmacy & Architecture Courses: Applicants must be at least17 (seventeen) years of age as on 31st Dec 2015
There is no upper age limit
Marine Engineering Course: Applicants should be at least 17 (seventeen) years of age or above as on 31st Dec 2015 and must not be above 25 (twenty five) years of age as on 31st July 2015; as per guidelines of appropriate authority
Medical/Dental Courses: Applicants should be at least 17 (seventeen) years of age as on 31st Dec 2015.
There is no upper age limit

Educational Qualification

Applicants applying for WBJEEM-2015 must have the following minimum academic qualifications Applicants who are appearing for the higher secondary examination (10+2 level) or its equivalent examination in 2015
Engineering/Technology courses other than Marine Engg: Applicants must pass higher secondary (10+2) examination of West Bengal Council of higher secondary education or equivalent exam from a recognized council/board with:
Individual pass marks in Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, Technical Vocational Subjects (Engg Drawing, Computer Science)
Minimum of 45 percent marks in the above subjects taken together (40 percent for SC/ST/PwD/OBC Applicants) as well as pass in English with a minimum of 30 percent marks (for all categories of Applicants) in the said qualifying exam

In Jadavpur University

Applicants must pass Higher Secondary (10+2) Examination of West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education or equivalent exam from a recognized Council/Board with; individual pass marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as compulsory subjects; minimum of 60 percent marks in the above subjects taken together (55 percent for SC/ST/ PwD/OBC Applicants) as well as pass in English with a minimum of 30 percent marks (for all categories of Applicants) in the said qualifying exam
Marine Engineering Course: Applicants must pass higher secondary (10+2) examination or equivalent examination from a recognized Council/Board with; 60 percent marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics taken together with individual pass marks in the said subjects; Minimum of 50 percent marks in English as subject in either in 10th or in 10+2 standard
Architecture Course: A Applicant, besides satisfying the eligibility criteria as stated in must qualify in the NATA (National Aptitude Test in Architecture) conducted by the Council of Architecture, New Delhi and necessary document in this regard is to be produced at the time of Counselling.
Pharmacy Course: Applicants must pass higher secondary (10+2) exam of West Bengal Council of higher secondary education or equivalent exam from a recognized Council/Board with; individual pass marks in Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with Mathematics, Biotechnology, Biology, Technical Vocational Subjects (Engg Drawing / Computer Science); minimum of 45 percent marks in the above subjects taken together (40 percent for SC/ST/ PwD/OBC Applicants) as well as pass in English with a minimum of 30 percent marks (for all categories of Applicants) in the said qualifying examination of the higher secondary (10+2).
Medical/Dental Courses: General Applicants must pass higher secondary (10+2) examination of West Bengal Council of higher secondary education or equivalent examination recognized by the West Bengal University of Health Sciences with a individual pass marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English Minimum of 50 percent marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology taken together (40 percent for SC/ST Applicants, 45 percent OBC-A, OBC-B Applicants) and 30 percent marks in English (for all categories of Applicants) in the said qualifying exam.

Application Procedure

Application has to be filled up online at the portal of the board, www.wbjeeb.nic.in
Applicants need to visit the portal and click the requisite link Online Application WBJEEM-2015 and thereafter will be directed to the actual application form; the form is interactive in nature and the fields required to be filled up are categorized in different sub-sections.

Issue of Admit Card

After receipt of Confirmation Report from a Applicant by the Board, an Admit Card will be generated indicating the allotted examination centre for WBJEEM 2015 and a downloadable version of the admit card will be published on the respective webpage of the Applicant concerned.

Application Fee Details

Irrespective of his/her category and gender, a Applicant applying for WBJEEM-2015 has to pay Rs.500/- (Rupees five hundred) only, as application fee, through Online Mode.
(Type E): Engg/Tech/Arch/Pharm only Rs.500/- (fee payable in INR)
(Type M): Medical/Dental/Pharm only Rs.500/- (Fees payable in INR)
(Type C): Engg/Tech/Arch/Pharm/ Medical/Dental Rs.600/- (Fees payable in INR) Service charges, as applicable, would be payable separately at the bank.

For Biological Sciences on April 18th, 2015 (Saturday)
