NIFT Entrance Exam 2015 Notification Dates

NIFT Bachelor and Master Programs Admission 2015

National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), an Institute of Design, Management and Technology, under the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India, has notified the admissions to the Bachelor and Master Degree Programmes 2015 session.
Seats Detail: A total of 2860 seats are available for the UG/PG Programmes together of which, 610 are for PG Programmes

NIFT Entrance Exam 2015 Programme Details

4years Bachelor Programmes (B.Des)

B.Design: Fashion Design, Leather Design, Accessory Design, Textile Design, Knitwear Design, Fashion Communication
Bachelor of Fashion Technology (B.F.Tech): Apparel Production

Eligibility Criteria (Who Can Apply)

For Bachelor Programmes: Maximum Age – 23 years as on1st October 2014; the upper age limit will be relaxed by a period of 5 (five) years for the Applicants of SC/ST/PHP subject to following qualifications:

Eligibility for Bachelor Programmes – B.Design (B.Des)

For admission to Bachelor Programmes in Design (B.Des) (Fashion Design / Leather Design / Accessory Design / Textile Design / Knitwear Design / Fashion Communication), applicant should have passed the 10+2 level examination in the 10+2 pattern from any recognized Central/State Board of Secondary Examination, such as Central Board of Secondary Education / State Board New Delhi, Council for Indian School of Certificate Examination, New Delhi; or
General Certificate Education (GCE) Examination (London/Cambridge/Sri-Lanka) at the Advanced level/ International Baccalaureate (IB); or
Any Public School/Board/University Examination in India or in Foreign countries recognized by the Association of Indian Universities as equivalent to 10+2 system; or
A pass grade in the Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by the National Open School with a minimum of five subjects; or
3 or 4-years diploma recognized by AICTE or a State Board of Technical Education.

Eligibility for Bachelor of Fashion – Technology

For admission to the Bachelor Programme in Technology (B.FTech) (Apparel Production): The 10+2 level examination in the 10+2 pattern of examination of any recognised Central/ State Board of Secondary Examination, such as Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi, and Council for Indian School of Certificate Examination, New Delhi with Physics, Chemistry and Maths; or General Certificate Education (GCE) Examination (London/Cambridge/Sri Lanka) at the advanced (A) level with Physics, Chemistry and Maths; or
Any Public School/Board/University examination in India or in foreign countries recognised by the Association of Indian Universities as equivalent to 10+2 system with Physics, Chemistry and Maths; or
A pass grade in the Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by the National Open School with a minimum of five subjects with Physics, Chemistry and Maths; or
3 or 4 years diploma recognised by AICTE or a State Board of Technical Education (Engineering background).

Eligibility for Master Programmes – Design

Age: No age limit
Eligibility for M.Des (Master of Design): Undergraduate degree from any institute/university recognized by law in India; or Diploma in UG Design from NIFT/NID only.
M.F.M (Master of Fashion Management): Undergraduate degree from any institute/university recognised by law in India; or
Undergraduate Diploma of minimum three years duration from NIFT/NID.
Master of Fashion Technology: B.F.Tech from NIFT; or B.E./B.Tech from any institute/university recognised by law in India.

NIFT Entrance Exam 2015 – How to Apply..?

Applicants can apply online at www.nift.ac.in or https://applyadmission.net/nift2015
Guidelines for applying online may be referred for the purpose
The applicant need not buy the Admission Prospectus as the Prospectus is available at NIFT website www.nift.ac.in free of cost However, the Application Fees has to be paid either through online payment gateway or through Bank Demand Draft issued in favour of “NIFT HO” payable at New Delhi
Entries in the application form shall be required to be filled only in English.
Fee for General / OBC (Non Creamy) Category: Rs.1400/- through NIFT payment gateway or Rs1500/- by Demand Draft.
Fees for SC/ST/PHP Category: Rs.800/- through NIFT payment gateway or Rs.900/- by Demand Draft.
Mode of Payment: Credit Cards / Debit Cards and Demand Draft (DD).
Credit Cards / Debit Cards: Payment of application fee (Rs1400/- or Rs800/-) can be made through credit cards/ debit cards as explained on the website. The bank and transaction charges on the application fee will be borne by the Applicant.
Demand Draft: Payment of application fee (Rs1500/- in case of General / OBC (Non Creamy – Layer) Applicants andRs900/- in case of SC/ST/PHP Applicants) can be made through Bank Demand Draft as explained.
The Demand Draft (DD) must be issued in favour of “NIFT HO”, payable at New Delhi and for details of the demand draft are to be filled in the online application form.
Applicants are advised to check the following details carefully before sending the Demand Draft (DD).
DD made in favour of “NIFT HO”. Amount of Demand Draft (DD) as applicable i.e. Rs1500/- in case of Gen/OBC (Non-Creamy) Applicants and Rs.900/- in case of SC/ST/PHP Applicants.
Signature of the issuing authority on the Demand Draft (DD).
Applicants applying through Demand Draft are required to send the printout of the Application Form, duly completed in all respect, along with Demand Draft on the following address Project Manager – CMS, All India Management Association, Management House, 14, Institutional Area, Lodhi Road, New Delhi-100003.
The duly filled in form should reach the above address on or before 16th January 2015
Incomplete forms or forms received late will not be accepted
The Institute does not take any responsibility for delay or loss of forms or correspondence in postal transit or by courier
Applicants are advised to keep the copy of printout and Demand Draft for future reference

NIFT Entrance Exam 2015 Admit Card

On the basis of information given in the NIFT Application Form, Admit Card of provisionally eligible Applicants will be available for download from website https://applyadmission.net/nift2015 from 23rd January 2015 (1300 hrs) onwards.

NIFT Entrance Exam 2015 Important Dates

Online Application Form: 10th November 2014 to 10th January 2015
Last date for Submission of Application Form: 10th January 2015
Last date for online registration with late fees of Rs.5000/- (in addition to the applicable application fees) through Credit/Debit Card only. In case of DD, the print-out of application alongwith Demand Draft must reach the given address before 16th January 2015
